Local Elections 2011
07 April 2011
North West Green Party results in the North West:
The Party retained 8 seats on Lancaster City Council, 4 less than the 2007 elections (as a result of the Labour surge on the back of anger with the Conservative-led coalition). Castle ward Green candidate Jon Barry achieved the highest vote of any candidate in the City.
Liverpool Green Party's John Coyne was re-elected in St Michael's ward with an increased majority (polling over 50%).
Manchester Green Party didn't gain any seats but gained second place in four of the City's wards.
Wirral's Patrick Cleary came a close second in Birkenhead with around 35% of the vote.
